Joey Powers Memorial Tournament (Lax Against Leukemia)

Lax Against Leukemia is a preseason high school lacrosse tournament to benefit the Joey Powers Leukemia Project. The 9th annual event will be on Saturday, February 11th, hosted at Premier Sports Campus. The 2023 lineup will include over 50 girls and boys high school teams from Florida.

Joey Powers played at Cardinal Mooney High School before losing his fight with pediatric leukemia. The Joey Powers Leukemia Project, founded by his family in 2010, raises money to provide financial assistance to families battling pediatric leukemia.

IMPORTANT: ALL players are required to register online to complete the tournament waiver and be eligible for participation. All registrations need to be submitted before Wednesday, February 8th.

Admiral Farragut Blue Jackets vs. Riverview Rams (@ Premier Sports Complex)

Due to a scheduling conflict, this non-district game was played at THE PREMIER SPORTS COMPLEX in Lakewood Ranch, FL. The Rams cruised to an 11-1 victory over Admiral Farragut.  10 Takeaways and 34 groundballs by the Rams limited the Blue Jackets to only 9 shots on goal.

Riverview Rams Preseason Jamboree (Varsity)

PLAYERS: Please download, complete, print and bring the attached “Release and Waiver Agreement” with you to the tournament.  ALL players must have a signed form to play.
