Lax Against Leukemia is a preseason high school lacrosse tournament to benefit the Joey Powers Leukemia Project. The 9th annual event will be on Saturday, February 11th, hosted at Premier Sports Campus. The 2023 lineup will include over 50 girls and boys high school teams from Florida.

Joey Powers played at Cardinal Mooney High School before losing his fight with pediatric leukemia. The Joey Powers Leukemia Project, founded by his family in 2010, raises money to provide financial assistance to families battling pediatric leukemia.

IMPORTANT: ALL players are required to register online to complete the tournament waiver and be eligible for participation. All registrations need to be submitted before Wednesday, February 8th.

The Joey Powers Leukemia Project’s mission is to support families affected by pediatric leukemia by providing financial, educational and emotional support.  The Joey Powers Leukemia Project is committed to raising awareness about this devastating disease.  We are determined to make a difference in the lives of others just as Joey would have chosen to do with his life.
