It was the last game before Districts for our Riverview Rams and they closed out with a win against the Port Charlotte Pirates. The game seemed close in the first half but time played on our side as we opened the scoring and notched up an impressive win in what could be called “The Zoltak and McCurdy Show.”

Veronica McCurdy and Kate Zoltak combined for 13 of our 15 goals with Zayda Fredericks closing out the total. McCurdy and Zoltak also fielded a combined 10 ground balls and out-shot the rest of the Rams 22 to 10.

Special mention today to Marisa Souchak who exited the field with 1:22 left in the first half with what appeared to be an injury from a wild stick to the head… Overall our girls ran up and down the field out pacing their competition and securing a straight shot at success in the Districts.
