2018 District 17 Final (Boys) Riverview Rams vs. Cardinal Mooney Cougars

Riverview’s season comes to an End with 17-7 Loss to Cardinal Mooney in District Championship

Although the Ram’s defense had been holding their opponents to under 5 goals/game over their last seven games, the Cardinal Mooney offense was too much to contain, as they were able to get 27 shots on goal, putting 17 of those shots in the net for the 17-7 win.  Although the outcome was not the result they desired, Riverview had a successful 2018 season, finishing with a 12-6 record.

As with the end of every high school season, we must now say goodbye to our eight Seniors, Reed Windom, Jared Green, Clark Flessner, Evan Goff, Rhys McRobb, Ronnie Saba, Connor Sinclair and Marshall Germond and wish them the best as they continue their journey.

2018 District Semi-Finals (MLAX) Riverview vs. Out-of-Door Academy

For the second straight year, the Riverview Rams MLAX team faced the Out-of-Door Thunder in the District semi-final game.  Last year, the two teams played a 2OT thriller at the Ram Bowl, where the Rams prevailed, 11-10.  Tonight, the Rams found themselves trailing, 4-3 at the beginning of the 4th quarter, but they outscored the Thunder 5-2 in the 4th quarter to win the game, 8-6 and advance to the District Championship game on Thursday, April 19, where they will play the Cardinal Mooney Cougars.  Rams scoring was lead by Clark Flessner (3 goals), Ethan Schwab (2 goals/1Assist) and Reed Windom (2 Goals). The defense was very, impressive, scouring 32 groundballs and 12 takeaways.  Senior Jared Green had 5 takeaways and 2 groundballs and Reed Windom had 5 groundballs. Conor O’Neil had 14 saves for the Rams.

The District 17 Championship game will be at 7PM at Out-of-Door Academy.
