The Riverview Rams (5-3, 3-1) Varsity Girls made their annual road trip to the east coast of Florida to play against the 15th ranked Vero Beach Indians (5-3) on Wednesday night. The Rams jumped out to an early 7-5 lead in the first half, and a slim 12-11 lead at the end of three quarters. Unfortunately for the Rams, the Indians dominated the draws in the fourth quarter and clamped down on defense, allowing only 3 shots on goal by Riverview. As a result, Vero Beach outscored Riverview 7-1 in the final quarter, and secured the 18-13 victory. Riverview’s scoring was lead by Seniors Susan Lowther with 8 points (5G/3A) and Alexandra Hernandez with 3 goals.
Vero Beach had 4 different players score 3 or more goals, with Junior Addison Parris scoring 5 goals, Sophomore Pressley Carroll (3 goals), Junior Jazmyn Morris (3 goals), and Kerrigan Gilmore (3 goals).
