Naples Golden Eagles vs. Riverview Rams



The Riverview Rams (5-4) Varsity Girls hosted the Naples Golden Eagles (0-3) at the Ram Bowl for a non-district matchup. Naples started the season ranked #4 in Florida 1A by FLN, coming off a Final Four finish in the 2022 FHSAA Lacrosse Championship Playoffs. Rankings aside, with Riverview winning nearly 70% of the draws, and shooting 76%, the Rams were able to pull away from the Eagles in the second half and secure a 10-6 win. Riverview senior Mia Rey had a tremendous game in goal, recording 14 saves. Riverview’s scoring was lead by junior Susan Lowther with 11 points (7G/4A), tying the Riverview Rams single game record for points, which Lowther set last April against Sarasota. Sophomore Caroline Steinwachs added 5 goals, and sophomore Chloe Hackl added 3 points (2G/1A). Celebrating her birthday with her twin sister and teammate, Katie Hazlett, senior Emily Hazlett scored 2 goals for Riverview.

Naples’ scoring was lead by Julie Sanders, Sienna Wyatt and Georgia Kent who each had 2 goals for the Golden Eagles.
