Riverview Rams @ Manatee Hurricanes

In a game that would determine which team will sit atop the District 11 standings in Division 2 FHSAA lacrosse, the Riverview Rams (9-6) traveled to Bradenton to take on the Manatee Hurricanes (8-3) on Tuesday night and fell, 16-11. Sophomore midfielder Susan Lowther tried to keep the game close in the first half by scoring 4 of the Rams 5 goals, but the Rams did not have an answer for Manatee’s Grace Knowles (4 Goals) and Penelope May (6 Goals) who contributed to the 30 shots on Riverview’s goalie, Mia Rey.

Riverview’s Lowther finished the game with 6 goals, pushing her season goal total to 52, breaking the Riverview Rams “Total Goals in Season” record set by Ronnie McCurdy (Class of 2018) in 2017 (49). Congratulations, Susan!
