vs. St. Stephens (SENIOR NIGHT)

Senior Night for both of our Boys and Girls varsity teams began with an opening ceremony announcing each Senior with a few memorable moments from their lacrosse career. Congratulations Seniors and Congratulations Erin Formanski  who represents the only senior leaving our girls program this year. Thank you to the parents and volunteers who participated.

The night continued with the girls facing a fierce opponent in the St. Stevens Falcons. The scoreboard may not show a victory but our players know better. With the game tied at 7, just 3 Minutes before the half, our Rams demonstrated that they have the skills and ability to compete. The Falcons may have outscored our girls by a 3 – 2 Ratio (and they did so while winning 75% of the Draws).. but our Rams showed resiliency on many other aspects of the game. Our Percentage of Goals vs. Shots was 66%. 2 of our players each won at least 5 ground balls and penalties which result in Free Position Shots Against Goal are down. These are all improvements which closed the gap against a team that had previously dominated on the field.

We have no need of mentioning names tonight… the effort was a result of team work… and sometimes those successes are best celebrated together without mention of personal bests… (And there may have been a few of those).

In the end we would like to welcome Kate Zoltak back from her injury and again wish the best to Erin Formanski as she prepares to make the next step forward in her life story! Go get ’em Erin!
