The Riverview Rams (8-9) defeated the Venice Indians (4-11) at the Ram Bowl in the FHSAA Division 2A, District 12 Semi-Finals, 7-2, and will advance to play in the District 12 Championship game on Thursday, April 13 against the Gulf Coast Sharks in Naples.
Riverview’s scoring was led by sophomore Jack Yochim with 5 points (4G/1A). Junior Ty Nutter had one of his best games of the season on defense, snatching 8 groundballs and forcing 5 takeaways. Riveriview’s senior goalie Will Leffler had 4 groundballs and 8 saves.
