The Riverview Rams Varsity Girls (4-3) hosted the HB Plant Panthers (4-1) from Tampa in the Ram Bowl on Monday night for a non-district matchup. Winning 83% of the draws and shooting 69% in the first half enabled the Rams to take a 9-8 lead into halftime. The Rams would extend their lead to 11-8 with 15:33 remaining in the game, but the Panthers clawed back with 5 unanswered goals in the final 6:48 of the game to win it, 17-13.
Junior Susan Lowther lead the Rams with 8 points (7G/1A) and sophomore Chloe Hackl scored 4 goals. The Panthers had 28 shots on goal, and if not for the 11 saves by Rams goalie Mia Rey, the score differential could have been even higher.
Sophomores Sarah Breen and McKenzey Craig each had 4 goals for the Panthers. Sophomore Ashlyn Bell had 3 goals and an assist for Plant.
