The Tampa Jesuit Tigers (9-1) came to the Ram Bowl with a 6-game win streak, and sitting atop the Division 1A, District 9 standings on Friday night to take on Riverview’s (8-6) Varsity Boys. Currently ranked #8 in Florida 1A, the Tigers jumped out to a quick 5-1 lead in the first half. The Rams would trim the lead to 5-3 in the 3rd quarter after goals by seniors Kevin Southerland and Ken Kaiser, but the dominating face-off execution by Jesuit’s Scott Moore (13-for-15) by the Tigers, limited Riverview’s possessions, and Jesuit claimed the 9-5 victory, extending their winning streak to 7 games.
Sophomore JC Fleming and Kaiser finished the game with 2 goals, apiece for the Rams. Will Leffler had 9 saves in goal.
