IMG Ascenders vs. Riverview Rams

The IMG Academy Ascenders (1-0) defeated the Riverview Rams Varsity Girls (1-1) by a score of 17-3 on Wednesday night at the Ram Bowl. The Ascenders jumped out to a quick 12-0 lead in the first half, and with a running clock, cruised to a 17-3 victory. IMG’s senior draw specialist, Annabelle Biggar dominated at the draw circle, winning nearly 60% of the draws for the Ascenders. By the end of the game, 7 different IMG players found the back of the Riverview net, with Natasha Newport, Jesse Kask, Ava Kitt and Bryn Bushnell each recording hat-tricks with 3 goals, apiece. Riverview’s Susan Lowther scored 2 goals and Chloe Hackl scored 1 goal for the Rams. Although the Rams gave up 17 goals, Riverview’s goaltender, Mia Rey was able to stop an impressive 12 of the 29 shots she faced.
