Recap
The Riverview Rams Varsity Girls hosted the Cardinal Mooney Cougars at the Ram Bowl under the lights and provided a thriller for the fans. The Rams took a 5-2 lead into halftime, but the Cougars came out strong in the second half and narrowed the score to a single goal for the last few minutes of the game. Solid ball control in the final 90 seconds enable the Lady Rams to secure the 7-6 win over their district rivals. Junior Hannah Boggs and Sophomore Riley Spingler each had a pair of goals for the Rams. Senior Lauren Brown, Junior Gabriella Connelly, and freshman Clara Keyvani each had a goal. Junior Lily Dougherty had a strong game on defense, scouring the field for eight groundballs.
The Cougars scoring came from Olivia Simmons (2G), Ansley Jackson (1G), Cooper Callahan (1G), Riley Hamilton (1G) and Cameron Ward (1G).
