The Riverview Rams (8-5, 3-0) Varsity Girls hosted the Cardinal Mooney Cougars (4-5) in a non-district matchup on Monday evening. Controlling nearly 74% of the draws (25-for-34), the Rams took advantage of the extra possessions and cruised to a 23-9 victory over the Cougars. Junior Susan Lowther tallied 13 points in the game (6G/7A), to set a new, single-game Riverview record for most points in a game. Sophomores CC Hackl and Caroline Steinwachs added 6 goals and 4 goals, respectively. Lowther had 12 draw controls, as well. When the final horn sounded, eight different Rams contributed to the scoring frenzy.
Junior Morgan Costallos led Cardinal Mooney’s scoring with 5 goals.
