Recap
2016 District Champion and rival, Cardinal Mooney Cougars improved to 3-0 in the District and 4-1 overall with a 10-5 victory of the Rams. The Cougars jumped out to a 7-3 first half lead but the Rams were able to cut the lead to 7-5 early in the 3rd quarter. Cardinal Mooney closed out the game with two goals in the 4th quarter to secure a 10-5 win. For the Rams, Sophomore Spencer Brooks and Junior Ronnie Saba each contributed two goals each and Sophomore Peter Giannone also scored. Juniors Evan Goff and Connor Sinclair each had an assist. The biggest standout for the Cougars was their goalie, Griffin Worsham with his 19 saves. Caleb Ward (4 goals), MJ McMahon (2 goals, 2 assists), and JP Jackson (2 goals, 1 assist) all scored for the Cougars. These teams will meet again on March 22, at Cardinal Mooney High School.
